Privacy Policy

We collect only the information necessary to operate your account and prevent abuse:

• Account Info: Your username, a hashed version of your password (we never see your actual password), and your email address.
• Game State: All actions you take within the game (building, trading, messaging, etc.) are stored to maintain the persistent world.
• Connectivity: We may log IP addresses temporarily for the purpose of preventing "multi-accounting" (one person running multiple nations) and protecting against DDoS attacks.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and to remember your UI preferences (such as theme settings or tab selections). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

3.1 Service Provision: To manage your nation, process your turns, and facilitate interactions with other players.

3.2 Communication: Your email is used for account recovery and occasional critical game updates. We do not send marketing newsletters without explicit opt-in.

3.3 Security: To enforce our "one account per person" rule and to investigate bug reports or violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Game data is retained as long as your account is active. If a nation is deleted or becomes inactive for an extended period, we may purge its associated data to save server resources. Log files containing IP addresses are typically rotated and deleted after 30 days.

Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view almost all data we have about you directly in the "Settings" and nation profile pages.
• Correction: You can update your email or nation description at any time.
• Erasure: You may request account deletion at any time. This action is permanent and removes your personal information from our active databases.

NationsEngine is not intended for children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we are required to delete that information immediately.
